THE THREE MUSKETEERS REVIEW
The Three Musketeers is a book written by Alexandre Dumas, a French writer back in the 80’s, some of his best books were:
La Reine Margot, (1845) among others.
Now, the story is set in the 17th century and shows us the adventure of a young man who goes to Paris to join the Musketeers of Guard. The musketeers he becomes friends with are Porthos, Athos, and Aramis, and they become inseparable friends.
Mostly the story unfolds with romance, infidelity, political intrigue, and swashbuckling adventures. The Three Muskeeters and the young man (I'm leaving him nameless so you guys won't have any spoilers!) find themselves involved in the political machinations of Cardinal Richelieu and his angents and the cunning Milady de Winter. The novel is mostly known because of its memorable characthers, witty dialogue, and its action.
If you liked the Hamlet book by Shakespeare or The Princess and The Goblin by George MacDonald, you might actually like this book, "Why is that?" you ask, well, at first, the three of them have a similar type of writting, and even thought they are about different (ok, maybe A LOT different) themes, all of them actually have a little bit of action and intrigue.
